The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau has created an ombudsman’s office to help resolve individual and systemic problems that banks, nonbanks and consumers have with the bureau. The announcement states that depository or non-depository entity that the CFPB supervises may use the Ombudsman’s Office when they have not had success with the existing CFPB processes, or to achieve an informal resolution.
